What is The Progressive Bitcoiner?
The Progressive Bitcoiner, Inc. is a Massachusetts based 501(c)(3) nonprofit exploring Bitcoin as a tool for economic justice, climate action, social good and beyond. Our Goals
Adoption
To increase bitcoin adoption by appealing to a mainstream audience which includes progressives seeking more information about bitcoin, but feel they have nowhere for answers that speak to their values.
Diversity
To increase the diversity of content available in bitcoin education and who it targets, especially the podcast space, which largely leans more libertarian and conservative.
Content
To produce content that showcases great stories and conversations centered around social justice, economic empowerment, environmental issues, and other progressive values.

Evan Primakow | Technology Director
Evan is a self-employed technology consultant, web designer/developer/host, and life-long early adopter. He has a passion for the nonprofit world, has worked with countless organizations, and proudly serves on a local board. He first stumbled upon bitcoin in roughy 2013, but like many, he dismissed it as only for illegal online purchases and foolishly ignored it until early 2017 when its appeal as an alternate to the traditional financial system and curiosity about the technology finally took root. Evan has been involved with The Progressive Bitcoiner since its inception and has created every iteration of its website.
